The magnificent Château de Villette is without doubt one of the most spectacular and glamorous holiday rental properties available in the world today.

Situated close to Paris, the chateau's construction was completed in 1695 and was overseen by Jules Hardouin-Mansart who also designed the nearby Palace of Versailles.

Villette is both simple and sumptuous with magnificent antiques, works of art and original features throughout. The classic 17th Century limestone entry hall, oak panelled library, gilded music salon and elegant dining room with original carved stone buffet compliment the fastidiously restored 17 bedrooms that each have their own beautifully appointed private bathrooms featuring limestone floors and counter tops and antique mirrors.

The chateau is furnished throughout with a mixture of superb antiques, chandeliers, decorations and paintings in a deluxe 17th Century style.

The telephone system is accessible from every room and there is wireless internet access throughout the chateau.

There is a professional gourmet kitchen, two service kitchens, and a gym, billiard room and banquet room as well as a magnificent private chapel and adjacent reception rooms that are also available to host wedding ceremonies and receptions throughout the year.

The chateau is situated on 185 acres of magnificent formal gardens designed by Andre le Notre, who also designed the landscaping at Versailles. The gardens spread out around the chateau with two magnificent lakes filled with swans, ducks and an abundance of birdlife.

The private and serene grounds provide numerous outdoor activities for the chateau guests, including jogging, biking, swimming and hunting and there is a private tennis court.

Château de Villette has featured frequently in films and TV commercials and gained further acclaim when featuring significantly in the book and movie 'The Da Vinci Code'. It has been a home away from home for a number of high profile celebrities who have enjoyed the peace and serenity of the chateau and gardens while at the same time being conveniently located to Paris and its many attractions.

Location

Château de Villette is located approximately 25 miles north west of Paris and has convenient access to Paris Charles de Gaulle international airport. Sightseeing tours of Paris can be arranged at the chateau.

The nearby villages of Condecourt and Tessancourt-sur-Aubette both have shops, and other amenities. The village of Meulan (population 8800) has a number of restaurants, shops supermarkets etc and is just 5 minutes from the chateau.
