Château de Grimaldi is built within the ruins of the original palace belonging to Cardinal Jerome de Grimaldi, who held court at the property from 1655 to 1685. It is available for rentals for a minimum 3 night stay and can also be booked for weddings, seminars, elegant parties, TV/Movie filming and other special events.
The chateau has been completely updated to a superb standard with all modern luxuries and comforts whilst maintaining its charm and historical significance.
There are 11 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, all of which are superbly appointed with all modern features including a superb kitchen and separate grand dining area. The 17th century styled interior is beautifully decorated with a mixture of formal and casual French antiques, furnishings and wonderful works of art which are located throughout the chateau.
There are 15 acres of park-like features with rolling lawns, formal gardens, antique fountains as well as a championship tennis court. The 17th Century chapel located next to the main house provides an ideal location for weddings, functions, parties and special events.
There is a games room with a billiard table, gym equipment and its very own cave style bar and discothèque ideal for holding parties.
Situated close to the cultural town of Aix-en-Provence with its historical buildings and architecture, superb shopping, exciting nightlife and world class restaurants. Château de Grimaldi can provide a wonderful home away from home in a unique setting.
Location
Château de Grimaldi is located in Puyricard (famous for the manufacturing of fine and exclusive chocolates) approximately 7 kilometres from the beautiful and historical town of Aix-en-Provence.
The chateau is ideally situated to explore all of the wonders of Provence and is within easy driving distances of Avignon, Arles, Marseille, Les Baux de Provence and the hill top villages of the Luberon.
